Microwave Ovens.

When inspecting and testing - microwave ovens showing any signs of damage, distortion or corrosion should be rejected. Return damaged ovens to specialist repairers only. 

Microwave Leakage should be checked at appropriate intervals.

 

When production tested the microwave leakage should not exceed 50Watts/m² = (5mW/cm²⁾.

BEAB Recommendations. ( Source IEE Code of Practice 3rd Edition).

A functional check to ascertain that opening of the door results in a reliable interruption of the oven power should be carried out. (IEE Code of Practice 3rd Edition 15.11)
